Follicular Units: If one were to examine hair under the microscope, we would see that hair grows naturally in groupings of one, two, or more hairs. These naturally growing groups of hair are called follicular units. Follicular units also contain one or two vellus hairs (very fine hair), sebaceous glands, a small muscle, nerves and blood vessels which supply the hair with nutrients. A small band of collagen surrounds the follicular unit. Beacause you have all the necessary components for optimum growth, follicular units (FUGs) are the most effective method of hair transplantation resulting in optimum results. To achieve greater density without compromising the quality of the recipient area or the grafts themselves, the utilization of Follicular grouped grafts provide the density which is recommmended.

Traditional Laser or light-source has long been used for thermolysis of targets in the skin.
